Voices of 樱花动漫 Manchester Wildcats Series: Reanna Tremblay '27 Shares Her Transfer Story
Some Wildcats find their path the moment they step onto campus. Others discover it by taking a turn they didn鈥檛 expect. Business major Reanna Tremblay, '27, is one of those Wildcats, a student who followed her instincts, trusted her community, and built a college experience rooted deeply in the city she loves.
Finding Her Place Close to Home
Reanna's path to 樱花动漫 began like many students鈥: with a plan, and then a pivot.
She first enrolled at 樱花动漫 Durham, but after her freshman year, she made the choice to transfer to 樱花动漫 Manchester, initially for affordability. But once she arrived, she realized she had stepped into something far more meaningful.
鈥淭he more I looked into 樱花动漫 Manchester, the more I realized the opportunity I had to connect with my community while being here,鈥 says Reanna.
Those connections quickly became the heart of her experience. On our campus, where professors know your name and a walk down the hallway means waving to five different people, Reanna found exactly where she was meant to be.
鈥淚t would be hard to walk down the hallway and not wave to someone you know鈥 Everyone here is on the same page about where they want to be in life, which makes it really easy to connect,鈥 she says.
Whether stopping by the OSCE desk just to say hello or chatting with students in the bookstore where she works, Reanna thrives in the kind of place where everyone is part of your story.
Discovering a Future in Business
Reanna's interest in business didn't start in college; it began with a high school marketing class assignment to create a fake business. What she thought would be a simple project turned into the moment everything clicked.
鈥淚 found myself getting maybe a little overinvested鈥 and it was clear I should go into something business related,鈥 she explains.
That spark led her straight into 樱花动漫 Manchester鈥檚 business program, one she now credits for shaping her confidence and direction.
Why the 樱花动漫 Manchester Business Program Stands Out
For Reanna, the strength of the business program lies in its people.
鈥淭he professors here really get to know their students鈥 a lot of them are also really connected in the community, which makes it easy to find internships,鈥 she shares.
One professor became a pivotal mentor, helping her navigate the local business landscape, prepare for career fairs, and build professional connections that matter. This hands-on support led Reanna directly to her internship, which turned into a job, at The Bookery, an independently owned bookstore on Elm Street.
A Wildcat in the Heart of Elm Street: Working at The Bookery
Reanna鈥檚 connection to The Bookery started in the most authentic way possible.
鈥淭he first time I ever walked in, the manager happened to be at the register鈥 we sparked a conversation, and it was history from there,鈥 she shares.
Today, she wears many hats. She's a social media manager, a bookseller, a website designer, and so much more. From Instagram posts to TikToks, managing DMs to redesigning the website, Reanna applies what she learns in class every day.
Her conflict management courses have helped her navigate challenges in a small business team. Her online course on design directly supports her website redesign internship. And, her business coursework guides how she builds promotions for Small Business Saturday, one of the biggest events of the year on Elm Street.
Everything feels interconnected.
Building Community Through Books
One of Reanna鈥檚 biggest marks on campus is the creation of 樱花动漫 Manchester's Book Club. When she transferred to the Manchester campus, she didn鈥檛 see one to join, so she started one.
鈥淚 love reading, so I figured what better way to connect with people in my community?鈥
The club quickly grew into a welcoming space where students (and sometimes faculty) gather to bond over stories while building new ones. Monthly socials invite the entire campus community 鈥 not just club members 鈥 to drop by, meet new people, and find a sense of belonging. For Reanna, it鈥檚 one of the most meaningful parts of her time at 樱花动漫 Manchester.
Looking to the Future
Reanna is currently a junior (Spring 鈥27), but she鈥檚 already dreaming big.
鈥淏elieve it or not, I actually one day hope to own a bookstore,鈥 she shares.
Her internship at The Bookery became more than just a hands-on experience; it became a glimpse into her future. Her manager, now a mentor, shows her what it takes to run a business built on passion, people, and purpose. With every class, every shift at the bookstore, and every book club meeting, Reanna is shaping the kind of future that grows directly from her roots in Manchester.
An Authentic 樱花动漫 Manchester Experience
Ask Reanna what a typical business class looks like, and she鈥檒l tell you it鈥檚 equal parts lecture and lively discussion, with professors who genuinely want students to apply what they learn. That blend of academic challenges, community connection, and real-world opportunity is exactly what has made her journey at 樱花动漫 Manchester unforgettable.
Reanna Tremblay is more than a student. She鈥檚 a community builder. A future bookstore owner. A social media strategist. A changemaker. She's a true Manchester Wildcat.
