Dr. Angela 鈥淎ngie鈥 Lewis, currently a senior advisor for training and consulting with Sibylline, has spent over two decades in the world of intelligence, serving first as a collection management officer and then as a senior targeting officer within the Central Intelligence Agency鈥檚 Directorate of Operations, where she served in multiple tours abroad in Central Europe and the Middle East. She then shifted to the private sector, serving in executive and intelligence-related roles at The Walt Disney Company, Salesforce, and Creative Artists Agency.
A 鈥減racademic鈥, she enjoys bridging the gap between the theoretical and the practical, and as such, she also serves as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in intelligence studies. Dr. Lewis completed her Ph.D. in Global Leadership at Pepperdine University, where her studies focused on leveraging intelligence for strategic decision-making. Her current research projects focus on applications of intelligence in the private sector, including at the intersection of intelligence, leadership, and psychology.
Dr. Lewis also holds a M.A. in International Relations with a focus on Foreign Policy from American University and B.A.s in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Cincinnati. She has published book chapters, academic journals, and has been hosted on several podcasts. She also has a book in progress, coming in late 2026, and is guest editing a special edition of the Journal of International Politics focused on private sector intelligence. She has also mentored numerous young professionals interested in entering the intelligence profession and seasoned professionals looking to transition out of the government. In her free time, she loves scuba diving with her daughter and cheering her on in tennis, as well as reading, traveling, and hanging out with her golden retriever, Nala.
